How to reach Banki Campsite? We are located in a small Istrian village of Banki, near the village of Tinjan. The easiest way to reach us is by taking the Baderna exit on the A8 motorway, and then continuing along the D48 state road towards Tinjan and taking a turn towards the village of Butori.It takes less than 3 hours by car from Zagreb, or around 4 or 5 hours from Zadar, Split or Osijek. From Ljubljana or Trieste, you can reach us in less than 2 hours. We are 40 minutes away from the airport in Pula and a little over an hour away from the airport on Krk Island. Despite being located in a small Istrian village, we are remarkably easy and quick to reach, preferably by road so that you can explore the Istrian landscape in your car or campervan.

When to visit Banki Campsite? Summer is the most appealing because of the warm temperatures, but central Istria is magical at any time of the year. If you love warm weather, summer is the ideal choice to enjoy the nature surrounding the campsite, and the nearest beaches are just a short 20-minute drive away. Those looking for an active holiday will find the numerous hiking and biking trails most memorable during spring and autumn when nature shows its true colours, while in the winter, the campsite is closed as we join nature in its winter sleep, and rest and prepare for the coming season.

You can visit and explore the charming village of Tinjan near Banki Campsite on a short, but pleasant walk. Start your tour from the viewpoint offering an impressive view of the Tinjan Valley which forms a part of the 40 km-long Lim Valley, the longest of its kind in Croatia. The historical centre of Tinjan is dominated by the well-preserved Church of St Simon and Judas Thaddeus, and in its vicinity, you can visit the Enriko Depiera Regional Collection showcasing thousands of important artefacts from the Tinjan history.
